Designed for Frappe-based systems, it ensures smooth coordination between lab technicians and patient records while maintaining accurate tracking of test status and materials consumed.

How to Use the Lab Management System
1. Configure a Lab Test Record :-
Go to Lab Test Menu → New Lab Test and add the required
test details such as test name, parameters, reference ranges, and description.
2. Create Lab Request Based on Lab Test :-
Navigate to Lab Request Menu → New Lab Request and fill in
the required details such as Patient, Prescribing Doctor, Sample Type,
Schedule Date, etc.
Once the Lab Request is saved, all test details are automatically fetched from the selected Lab Test records. Tests defined in the Lab Test master are populated automatically in the request.
After saving, a custom button “Create Sample Tests” appears.
If the user clicks this button without selecting any test, the system shows the message:
“Please select at least one test before creating Sample Tests.”
When a test is selected, its details appear in the lines section. After saving the record again, sample tests are created automatically.
Example: If two tests are selected, two sample test records are generated with their respective details.
 3. Create Lab Test Results :-
After submitting the Lab Request, a custom button
“Create Test Results” becomes available.Â
Clicking this button allows users to create Lab Test Results based on the generated Sample Tests.
