The Meeting Room Application In Odoo v17

In Odoo 17 , we have a new application named "ROOMS.” It is as easy to use as it looks.  In organizations, sometimes it becomes hectic to manage the meeting rooms as simultaneously employees have meetings with clients, and sometimes it happens that clients suddenly come to the office for any meeting, and at the end, we do not have any meeting rooms available. To manage these scenarios, the meeting room application can be very helpful!

Now, let’s dive into the meeting room application and explore the features:-

To start with, above is a dashboard view of the meeting room, and in that view, you can see related bookings scheduled based on the various rooms. You can view them by day, week, monthly, as well as yearly.  In it, you will have a gantt view, a list view, a calendar view, and a kanban view.

Then we have another menu called Rooms, in which we can create the rooms.

While creating a new room, we can define the meeting room name, available background color, booked background color, background image, and amenities available in that room. Related bookings for that particular room can be accessed directly from the booking menu in the rooms.

By clicking on New, we can access the room view:

We can use the tablet as we will have a tablet available in the meeting room, so whenever we have any meetings, just go to the meeting room and book the slot for that time duration, and the room will be reserved.

The room availability will be shown on the room's Kanban view; if the room is currently busy, it will show busy, or if it is near meetings, it will show time duration, and employees can get an idea of room availability.

In order to delete a booking, just go to rooms and open and click on delete whenever you get finished, so the room will be available for the booking.
