FrappeVerse 2025: From “Wait, Am I Going?” to “Wow, I am Here!”
After my debut at Frappeverse 2023, I wasn’t expecting a sequel so soon. But life had other plans for me: I found out I was attending the 2025 edition just one day before the event.
Cue: Panic Mode.
While still at work- My brain went into a full Frappe Rush.
“What’s gonna be new this time?”
“Will they be launching version16?”
The answers were simple: pack, fly and find out yourself!
The Partner Meet Up- Sleep is Overrated
Touchdown Mumbai
Mission 01: Grab a couple of hours of sleep
Mission 02: Visit the new Frappe Office for their partner meetup.
This meetup was a gold mine of partner ecosystem insights!
Rushabh Mehta (Founder & CEO- Frappe Technologies) was all ears as partners shared challenges ranging from business models, talent acquisition, training, support, to enterprise targeting.
And then the stage was open to the partners- each one elaborated on challenges, strengths, and the creative hacks they use in daily operations while automating the systems.
This was followed by Lunch- a carefully curated buffet by the Frappe Team (kudos to them for managing such a large number of partners and managing it so effortlessly).
Over lunch, we caught up with old acquaintances and met partners from other regions.
After our stomachs were full- we sat in a “Frappe Style Discussion”- a square with 4 rows on each side. We discussed every issue, every pain point in a democratic discussion. There was no right or wrong in this discussion- just an open flow of thoughts from which anyone could pick their right!
FrappeVerse Day 1- Bigger & Better
The Destination? Nehru Centre Auditorium
First thing I noticed? A bigger venue, more seats, and *drumroll* Track 2.
Frappeverse 2025 had clearly leveled up.
After registering ourselves, we entered the main auditorium and the seats were completely filled- everybody was anticipating the key note.
AND THEN IT ALL STARTED!
Rushabh took the centre stage and started with his keynote. He talked about democracy at Frappe Technologies and how it has been their backbone ever since. He emphasized on the growth of Frappeverse over the years, and finally gave a green flag to Frappeverse 2025!
The next to take up the stage was Nabin Hait- the torch bearer for ERPNext. He explained the roadmap to make ERPNext better and bigger.
After Nabin established his focus on ERPNext, Rudra and Sumit (Resilient Tech) dazzled us with the Accounting updates. From financial report templates to tax withholding and POS accounting. Imagine splitting payments, adding extra invoice details, and still having both POS and Sales invoices- Accountants’ dreams realized!
Rohit highlighted Stock & Manufacturing updates: serial number and batch traceability, stock entry against job cards (track your semi-finished goods like a pro!), lead time management in material requests, landed cost vouchers for subcontracting, and operating cost components in child tables.
Rohit handed over to Mihir, who then took us through the changes in the Subcontracting:
- Subcontracting Inward- a great perspective for users who could be the subcontractors themselves.
- Stock reservation for Subcontracting and Production- this will definitely solve a lot of issues in Material Planning.

HR & Payroll- People First!
Asmita walked us through the updates in HRMS: users will have the functionality of Off-Shift Check Ins along with the functionality of Half Day Attendance. Now, we also have the functionality of Earned Leave Schedule and the Leave Adjustments.
That’s not all for HR, users will also have the historic track of Holiday lists as well.
Aisha covered the Payroll changes and mentioned that now users can manage Overtime Payouts, Employee Benefit Ledger, Loss of Pay Corrections as well as Multi Currencies in Expense Claims.
The base ingredient of a Good “Frappe”
Eijaaz took us through the updates of Framework and we got to know that users will now have a horizontally-scrollable child table along with the functionality of a sticky column. The list view is also now scrollable and the mobile view of the list view is now much more responsive. Game Changer in Framework- Data Masking!
LMS, CRM & Beyond
Updates on Frappe LMS: demonstrated by Jannat Patel. Learners can now highlight the important learning content along with making the notes at the bottom of every lesson. If you are someone who likes to be very focused while learning and want to not have any distractions- Zen Mode is for you! If learning streaks keeps you motivated- Frappe LMS has that too!
For the trainers, you can now configure open ended quizzes, in video quizzes, enable the negative marking, define the learning path for learners, and also configure content in SCORM packages.
We also have the attendance functionality in the live classes and for the reporting- we can monitor the watch time of learners for the in-course videos.
Frappe CRM updates included Twilio & Exotel integrations, automated lead probability, customizable dashboards, and calendar views.
The enhancements in Helpdesk are no less. Users will now have a new UI for ticket view, and can segregate the tickets based on Recent & Similar Tickets. Helpdesk also has Telephony integration and users can set up custom statuses.
Frappe Insights have completely changed the way of drilling down to the nitty gritties! You can now have the map chart view along with the conditional formatting and folders.
While we were busy in understanding the new enhancements- the Track 2 had some really interesting talks going on by the Partners.
I could only manage to witness one of the talks in which the Partner demonstrated their work on the AI for Frappe. I was amazed to see so many partners truly focusing on the AI integrations and I definitely feel it is the need of the hour. We too have witnessed clients demanding for AI features for their systems.
However, I also feel that AI is supposed to reduce the work- there were instances that I witnessed in which the AI took the same amount of the manual work as compared to doing that particular function without AI- this is where I understood integrating AI is not a cakewalk and we still have a long way to go.
The day wrapped up with partner-developed apps: easy Bank Reconciliations using Mint and the enhancement in Marley Healthcare.
After a few client calls, Day 1 officially ended for us.
Frappeverse Day 2: Developer Delights
Another early morning and a quick breakfast in a city that never sleeps. Our cab took us 15 mins to reach the venue and we were again all set to witness the magic of open source on the Day 2!

When we entered the venue, the talk had already started. Rucha Mahabal was taking everyone through the Developer Tools.
They discussed the enhancements in Frappe Builder, Frappe Studio and the Frappe Framework.
While it was a great session for the developers out there- I was only able to understand the no-code features of the Studio and Builder. At that moment I was glad that Frappe does have a low code- no code principle for people like me!
While I was still thanking my stars- Rucha handed over the stage to Faris Ansari to take us through the Frappe Productivity Suite.
Frappe has completed this suite with the introduction of Frappe Mail. While I have used Frappe Gameplan and have witnessed the Frappe Drive in its full action, Frappe Mail and Frappe Slides were a new addition for me.
The day 2 was all about the partners and their case studies. I believe it is the highlight of this event. Frappe always takes pride in their partner ecosystem. In the further talks- we learnt about the use cases of ERPNext in the manufacturing as well as the Non-Profit sector. This system is surely flexible and scalable enough to handle both!

During the event, we met a few partners and exchanged our synergies. As much as we wanted to continue with this adrenaline and demos- we had to leave early since we had a flight to catch.
The last talk we heard of was Umair Sayed. It is always a delight to listen to his opinions. He talked about how Frappe would like to partner with the Certified Consultants on delivering the training to the newer batches- full-circle knowledge sharing.
And with that collaborative thought, we picked our bags and left the venue. As we drove off, our team started engaging with their opinions on the enhancements, how new additions can benefit our customers and so on and so forth!
Before leaving Mumbai, we visited Siddhivinayak Temple: two Frappeverse visits, two magical experiences. Blessings secured, bags packed, and flight home.
My Last Two Cents
Frappeverse 2025 wasn’t just bigger than 2023, it was smarter, better, and downright inspiring. Personally, I leveled up too. In 2023, I was observing; this year, I was engaging and contributing. Familiar faces, new ideas, and a lot of “woah” moments later, I left with both knowledge and motivation.
Oh, and for those waiting on ERPNext v16? The year end holds your answer. Patience, my friend.
