Account Activation by Email at Signup

The Account Activation by Email at Signup module enables users to activate their accounts via a verification email sent during the signup process, ensuring secure and seamless account creation.

Note: Make sure to install the required Python dependency by running:
pip install validate_email

To enable the Free Sign Up option for customer accounts, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings -> General Settings.
2. Under the Permissions section, locate the Customer Account options.
3. Select the Free Sign Up radio button.
4. Click Save to apply the changes.

1. Go to Settings -> Technical.
2. Under the Parameters section, click on System Parameters.
3. Here, you can view, edit, or add new parameters as needed.

1. Click on the Create button in the System Parameters page.
2. Enter the following details:

• Key: auth_signup.allow_uninvited
• Value: True

1. Go to the login page of your Odoo instance.
2. Click on the Sign Up option.
3. Enter a new email address and the required details.
4. Click Sign Up to create a new account.

1. After clicking Sign Up, if the email is new, a Thank You message will appear confirming the account creation.
2. If the email is already registered, an Error message will appear indicating the email is already in use.

1. If the sign-up is successful, go to your registered email inbox.
2. Open the email you received from Odoo regarding account activation.
3. Click on the activation link provided in the email to activate your account.

1. Clicking the activation link will open the Odoo login page.
2. Enter your registered email address and password.
3. Click Log In to access your account.

1. You will be successfully logged in to your account.
2. On the right side of the interface, you can view your user details.
3. You can also edit your personal information from this section.
