Sound Notification

This module adds sound notifications in Odoo, playing audio for actions like saving, discarding and deleting records. It also triggers sounds for errors, warnings, tracebacks and confirmation dialogs, ensuring a more interactive user experience.

To setup the Sound Notification Configuration, Navigate to Settings and Under Settings, you will find a dedicated Audio Alerts section,where the default system sounds for Save, Delete, Discard, Error and Popup are already pre-configured. You can upload your own custom audio files if needed.

Save Button Sound Notification

To test the save button notification, go to any module (e.g., Contacts).When the user clicks the Save button, a sound will play.

Delete Button Sound Notification

To test the Delete button notification, navigate to any module and go to Actions > Delete, When a user clicks the Delete button, a sound notification will play.

Discard Button Sound Notification

To test the Discard button notification, navigate to any module and make changes to a record without saving. Click the Discard button, and a sound notification will play.

Popup Sound Notification

When a popup dialog is triggered in Odoo, a sound notification will play to alert the user.Example: Navigate to Sales, open any confirmed sale order, and click on Create Invoice. If the invoice creation popup appears, a sound notification will play.

Error Sound Notification

When an error occurs, a sound notification alerts the user. This applies to system errors, validation errors, and unexpected issues. Example: Navigate to Contacts, create a new contact without entering a name, and try to save. A sound notification will play to alert the user.

Exception Sound Notification

If an exception occurs during an action, a sound notification will alert the user. Example: Navigate to the Sales and attempt to delete a confirmed sales order. If an exception occurs, a sound notification will play.

Note: It also Plays When a traceback error occurs, a sound notification alerts the user. This applies to system crashes, unhandled exceptions, or critical errors.
