Product Sample Request

The Product Sample Request module simplifies the process of sending sample products to customers. It allows you to create a dedicated sample location and define a sample operation type, ensuring smooth and organized handling of sample requests. Users can easily create and submit sample requests, which are then approved by the sales manager before processing. Once approved, you can check the corresponding picking operations, making the entire sample request workflow efficient and well-structured.

To create a dedicated sample location for managing product samples, follow these steps:

1. Go to Inventory -> Configuration -> Locations.
2. Click on New to add a new location.
3. Enter a suitable Location Name and set the Location Type as Internal.
4. Save the location to use it for handling sample product operations.

To define a new operation type for handling product samples, follow these steps:

1. Go to Inventory -> Configuration -> Operation Types.
2. Click on New to add a new operation type.
3. Fill in the required information as shown in the reference image. You can modify the details as per your requirements.
4. Save the operation type to make it available for sample requests.

To create a new product sample request, navigate to:

1. Go to Sales -> Products -> Sample Requests.
2. Click Create to open a new sample request form.

Enter the details for the sample request:

1. Select the Partner and Salesman.
2. Set the Request Date and Picking Type.
3. Add product lines with Product and Quantity.
4. Click Submit Request from the header to create the request.

Once the sample request is submitted, you can approve it by clicking the Approve button from the header. After approval, a smart button Sample Picking will appear.

Click the Sample Picking smart button to view the picking records. The screen will display information such as reference, source, destination, contact, scheduled date, source document, and company details for the sample request.

The sample picking records show all relevant information for the source, including reference, origin, destination, contact person, scheduled date, source document, and company. This helps track and manage all sample pickings efficiently.
