Global Discount On Sale Orders and Invoices
The Global Discount module enables users to apply fixed or percentage-based discounts on Sale Orders and Invoices in Odoo. It helps streamline pricing management by allowing discounts to be applied directly on the overall order or invoice amount.
To apply a fixed discount on a Sale Order, create a quotation and select the discount type as Fixed. Enter the required discount amount and click on the Update Total button to apply the discount to the order.
A fixed discount cannot be greater than the Amount Before Discount (untaxed amount). If the entered discount exceeds the allowed amount, a validation error message will be displayed.
To apply a percentage-based discount on a Sale Order, select the discount type as Percentage and enter the required discount value. Click on the Update Total button to apply the discount to the order total.
The discount percentage must be less than or equal to 100%. If the entered discount exceeds the permitted limit, a validation error message will be displayed.
To apply a fixed discount on an Invoice, create an invoice and select the discount type as Fixed. Enter the required discount amount and click on the Update Total button to apply the discount to the invoice.
