Tamara Payment Provider
Tamara Payment Provider is a seamless Odoo module that integrates the Tamara gateway, enabling customers to pay in interest-free installments. It enhances the shopping experience with flexible payment options and a smooth checkout process. Fully integrated with Odoo, it helps increase conversions and reduce cart abandonment.
Tamara Payment Configuration
To set up the Tamara Payment Provider in Odoo, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Website App:
From the Odoo dashboard, go to the Website module. -
Access Configuration Menu:
In the Website module, click on the Configuration menu located in the top navigation bar. -
Open Payment Providers:
From the dropdown, select Payment Providers to view the list of available payment methods. -
Configure Tamara Payment Method:
- Locate Tamara in the list of providers and click to open its configuration page.
- Enable the payment method by toggling the "Published" or "Enabled" option.
- Enter the required credentials such as Merchant Key, and Public Key provided by Tamara.
- Set the appropriate environment(status) (e.g., Test Mode for testing or Enabled for live use).

Save Changes:
Click Save to apply the configuration.
Once configured, your customers will see Tamara as a payment option during checkout and can choose to pay in installments seamlessly.
Here, Tamara's interest-free block displays a clear breakdown of your installment payments. You can easily review all payment dates and amounts to manage your plan with confidence. The transparent layout ensures you always know what's due and when, helping you stay on top of your finances. Plus, with no hidden fees or interest charges, budgeting becomes simple and stress-free.
By clicking the above Tamara's interest-free block, a detailed popup as below will appear displaying comprehensive information about the payment plan. This includes installment breakdowns, due dates, and any terms or conditions associated with the offer. The popup provides users with a clear understanding of how the interest-free option works. It's designed to help shoppers make informed decisions before proceeding to checkout.
To proceed with interest-free payments, select the option labeled "Interest-free Installments (Powered by Tamara)" during checkout. Once selected, you will be securely redirected to Tamara's website to complete your purchase. There, you can review the installment plan, confirm your details, and finalize the payment process. Tamara ensures a seamless and transparent experience, allowing you to split your payment into manageable installments with no hidden fees or interest.
On Tamara's payment page, you will be presented with various installment options tailored to your needs. Each option clearly outlines the number of payments, due dates, and the amount for each installment. You can review these choices and select the one that best fits your budget. Once you've chosen your preferred plan, simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete your payment securely and effortlessly.
After completing the payment process successfully on Tamara's platform, you will be automatically redirected back to the Odoo system. A confirmation screen will appear, displaying a success message indicating that your transaction was completed. This message serves as proof of payment and confirms that your order has been processed. The screen will look similar to the example shown in the screenshot below, providing clarity and reassurance that everything went smoothly.
In the backend, the payment transaction details provide a comprehensive overview of each completed transaction. One of the key pieces of information displayed is the unique provider reference, which is automatically generated by Tamara for every payment. This reference number serves as a crucial identifier and is used to communicate with Tamara for any inquiries, reconciliations, or support requests related to the transaction
A transaction payment is created in the Payment section.
If you want to refund the product payment, click on the Refund button. When you click the Refund button, a Refund pop-up will appear. Enter the refund amount and click Refund to proceed.
Once the refund is processed from the Tamara server side, the response will be sent to Odoo, and the refund transaction will be marked as Confirmed.
If, for some reason, the refund response is not received in Odoo, a cron job will automatically fetch the refund status from Tamara and process the refund transaction accordingly.
Navigate to the Website and click on the Configuration menu.
Open Payment Providers sub-menu and enable Capture Amount Manually.
Open website shop and add products in cart and click on Process Checkout button.
Here, you can see the process of making installment payments using the Tamara Payment Gateway.
Navigate to the Payment Transactions menu under Website Configuration.
Here you can see product payment transaction is created.
Click on Capture the transaction to retrieve the payment amount.
You can also void transaction by clicking on Void Transaction Button.
