Microsoft Azure Single Sign-On(SSO)
The Microsoft Azure Single Sign-On(SSO) is an Odoo module that provides seamless integration between Odoo and Microsoft Azure for Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality. The module allows users to authenticate and login to the Odoo platform using their Microsoft credentials, eliminating the need for users to remember multiple login credentials. When a user logs in to the Odoo platform for the first time using their Microsoft credentials, a new user account is created automatically in Odoo with the user's Microsoft email address as their login name and allows already existing Odoo user's to login in to Odoo using Microsoft account. This makes it easy for users to access the platform without any additional steps.
Login to Azure Portal and click on Azure Active Directory
Click on the App Registrations menu to Proceed
Click on New Registration to create a new Application
Provide an appropriate Name for the application and select the Multitenant option
Copy and securely save the Client ID and Tenant ID
Click on API Permissions and grant the necessary permissions for the application
Generate Secret Key
Copy and securely save the Client Secret key value
To set up the Microsoft Azure Single Sign-On(SSO) in Odoo, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Settings. Ensure that Developer Mode is enabled.
- Go to Users & Companies and click on OAuth Providers.
- Add or configure the Microsoft OAuth2 OAuth Provider as needed for your setup.
Click on the Microsoft OAuth2
Generate and enter your Microsoft Azure credentials (Client ID, Secret Key, Tenant ID) and mark allowed true, Save the changes in Record
On the login page, you will see a Login with Microsoft button. Click this button to login without entering a username or password.
Enter your Microsoft credentials
Upon successful authentication, New User will be created for the first time login and later users can log in with Microsoft
