New Product PLM Workflow
The New Product PLM Workflow module helps manage product samples from design receipt to final completion. It tracks sample status, deadlines, and related documents in one place.
Open the New Product PLM Workflow app and click New to create a sample record. Enter details such as sample name, party type, customer, responsible person, deadline, and notes. You can also add multiple attachments if needed. After filling the details, click the Receive Design button from the header.
When you click Receive Design, the Received Date is filled automatically with the current date. After reviewing the design, click the Review Design button to move the sample to the next stage.
After the design review is completed, click the Initiate Sample button from the header. This action starts the sample process and moves it to the next stage.
Clicking Initiate Sample opens an email template popup. Select the recipients as needed. All attachments added to the sample are automatically included in the email. Click the Send button to proceed.
After sending the email, you can see the message in the chatter on the right side. The Start Date is filled automatically when the sample is initiated. To finish the process, click the Complete Sample button from the header.
After completing the sample process, you can generate a Bill of Materials for the product. Click the Generate BoM button from the header to create the BoM quickly.
Enter the required Bill of Materials details for the product. Add components, quantities, and other necessary information. After filling all details, save the record to complete the BoM.
Go back to the sample record to view the BoM Count smart button. This button shows the total number of BoMs created and opens the list of BoMs for the product. You can also create a quotation by clicking the Generate Quotation button from the header.
In the New Product PLM Workflow module, open the Completed Samples menu. Here, you can view the list of all samples that have been completed.
