SmartSession - Manage User Sessions with Admin Rights easily
The SmartSession - Manage User Sessions with Admin Rights easily is an advanced security and productivity enhancement module for Odoo. It allows administrators to monitor, control, and manage user sessions in real time. With this module, you can limit the number of active sessions per user, automatically terminate idle sessions, and prevent unauthorized simultaneous logins. This ensures better resource utilization, improves system performance, and enhances overall data security.
SmartSession - Manage User Sessions with Admin Rights easily provides powerful configuration options where administrators can define
session limits per user or for the entire system. It also supports automatic logout rules, activity
tracking, and detailed session reports. This helps organizations maintain accountability and prevent
misuse of user credentials.
Go to Settings → Users, then click on the Auto Logout button.
View Record Access History
Click on the Eye icon located next to the Action button. A pop-up window will appear showing the complete record access details.
This feature enables users to track the visibility history of a record. It displays information
about who viewed the record along with the exact date and time of access. This ensures improved
auditing, transparency, and data security by monitoring user activities within the system.
Extra Rights: Allow Login With Any User
Enable this option to grant the selected user permission to log in as any other user within the
system. This right should be assigned only to authorized administrators for enhanced access control
and support purposes.
Enable the Idle Time option to automatically log out users after a specified period of
inactivity.
Go to Settings → Users, then click on the Auto Logout button.
Enable Idle Time →
Turn ON this option to activate automatic logout for idle sessions.
Idle Time (in Minutes) →
Enter the number of minutes after which an inactive user should be logged out.
Enable Flexible Login
To activate flexible login based on employee working schedules, follow the steps below:
Go to Settings → Users, then click on the Auto Logout button.
Enable the Flexible Login option.
Once activated, users will be allowed to log in according to their assigned working schedules,
ensuring controlled and policy-based access to the system.
Auto Log-out
To enable automatic session logout based on employee working schedules, follow the steps below:
Go to Settings → Users, then click on the Auto Logout button.
Enable the Auto Log-out option.
When this feature is activated, employees will be automatically logged out from the system once
their assigned working hours end, ensuring secure access control and compliance with organizational
policies.
